Some friends of ours have purchased multiple types of strollers such as travel systems, joggers and compact units they use to transport their baby. With the Bugaboo Cameleon you are getting a hybrid stroller that takes the place of a variety of different styles of strollers – and it’s all in one unit.

The Bugaboo Cameleon’s flexible design helps to justify its steep price. You can use it as a pram – where your newborn baby is able to lie flat. It can be used as a car-seat stroller and it even transforms into a 2 wheeled beach walker. The unique design of the Cameleon allows it to be used for a newborn or a toddler. You can even snap off the bassinet and use it as a mini-crib.

Before looking at this model I spent quite a bit of time checking out reviews of similar baby strollers. Although a couple of people complained that the Bugaboo was kind of heavy to them (it weighs around 20 lbs) and a little difficult to load into a small vehicle, my wife and I have not noticed this problem at all. The people who brought this up in the reviews we read were usually quite small in stature so this issue may be of concern if you are under 5 feet or so.

Another complaint we noticed was someone mentioned the lack of a cup holder – but in looking at the website where we bought ours we see that this is now an option you can order with the stroller. It’s just too bad they don’t bother to toss it in with your order as a freebie. However they do offer free shipping on orders over $100.00.

Note: While I was doing research for the best baby stroller before making my purchase I found that a lot of people were misspelling the Bugaboo Cameleon model name as Bugaboo Chameleon Baby Stroller (inserting an “h” in Cameleon).
