Hublot King Power Tourbillon Ayrton Senna Limited Edition, the sapphire crystal features the photo of each moment in transfer form. The carbon case-back is laser engraved with a yellow text specifying the place, date and selected moment in Ayrton Sennaos career, along with the number of the watch, and the pHublot Pice Uniqueq signature.
Refined and powerful, made from an array of high-tech materials used in Formula 1, some of which C like Nomex C have never before been used in watchmaking, the King Power Tourbillon Ayrton Senna has a case made entirely from carbon fibre (a material widely used in F1, but a first for Hublot), a ceramic bezel with a circular-grained satin finish adorned with multiple holes to represent an F1 brake disk also made in ceramic, a strap made from Nomex, a synthetic fibre developed by Dupont De Nemours and used C thanks to its very low combustibility and thermostability C to make the suits worn by F1 drivers, the power reserve indicator at 9 oclock in green, blue and red to evoke the timers used in F1, a single multi-function push button for the start, stop and reset functions, a 30-minute counter 10 oclock and a 60-second counter at 2 oclock.
These 10 King Power Tourbillon Ayrton Senna pieces are manufactured by the Confrrie Horlogre Hublot. The main special feature of this in-house movement named HUB 6300, is its column-wheel chronograph, visible on the dial side. The clutch for which is coupled directly to the tourbillon cage. Behind its futuristic appearance, the traditional 13 lignes tourbillon movement, measuring 30 mm in diameter, has a cage 13 mm in diameter, designed with no ball bearings and raised 2.80 mm above the base of the main plate. This construction makes it incredibly lightweight, giving it the impression of being suspended in space, and earning it the name flying tourbillon. The assembly of 269 components of the movement, bridges, cams and springs, cage, wheels, jewels, screws visible through the dial, becomes a unique decoration, to which only the index, counters and the hands in yellow are added.
The watch comes in an exceptional Hublot presentation case, made from carbon fibre, which includes a perfect replica of Ayrton Sennas helmet from the year featured on the back of the watch. Each helmet is painted by Sid Mosca who was the official painter Ayrton Senna used for his helmets. It comes with a certificate of authenticity personally signed by Sid Mosca, and stamped by the Ayrton Senna Foundation.
